Gold smuggler arrested in Nepal: गोल्ड डन ‘गोरे’ पक्राउ

KATHMANDU: Chudamani Upreti("Gore") which is supposed to be the mastermind behind the smuggling of 33kg gold and murder of Sanam Sakya who belongs from Urlabari the same village as "Gore" lived, is arrested by police from India. Police has said that he was arrested in India on Monday and now he was brought to Kathmandu. 

 Before couple of days, the video regarding to the murder of gold carrier Sanam Shakya was being viral on the social media. In the video, the mastermind of the smuggling 33 kg gold, "Gore" is clearly seen while he is giving the 3rd degree torture with electricity shock including Sanam Sakya.

 After Shakya's murder, the investigation opened by which nearly 63 person's case has been filed at the Government Attorney's Office of Morang on may 2. According to the Morang District Court, they had smuggled nearly around 38 quintals of gold since 2015. Now this gold worth is around 17.018 billion.

Police assured to give this investigation with high priority. Bikashraj Khanal, Superintendent of Police, The in-charge of Makawanpur District Police Office, was also arrested in the connection of this murder as well as disappearance of 33 kg Gold. While other 32 are charge-sheeted in the connection of smuggling and murder and are still absconding.
