Small Introduction Of Hetauda
Hetauda is the headquater of Makawanpur District and it is an industrial city which is situated in the central part of nepal. It covers arround 2426 sq km. The main city street of hetauda are full of green trees parallel to both sides of roads because thy reduces the Polution. Here finds all cast and religion and people began to migrate here because it is safe, peace and suitable for resistance.
The mejority of people residing here are Tamang but other communities like tharu, chhetri, Gurung, Newar, Magar, Chepang, Brahmins, Rai also lives here.Hetauda attracts tourist too. It has many historical and beautiful places, Some of them are, Martyrs' Memorial Park, known as Sahid Smarak. It is situated near 2 km north-west from Main city Hetauda, There we find many beautiful natural places, We cant forget Manakamana Temple also which is 4 km east from main city. it is also known as sano manakamana. We must remember Makawanpur Ghadhi, which is 10 km east from hetauda. It is the most historical places. likewise thrikhindi, Bhutandevi, Pasupati, Pusplal park, Banaskhandi, Pathibhara, Tribeni dham are the most beautiful places which make pleasant us.The main thing of Hetauda is, it is a green city covering the forest and river. it has its own features with having. The view of Hetauda is really nice and awesome. you could find if once you visit here.
Hetauda and its Name
The name of Hetauda has many history. one of them is linked with the Devil of "Mahabharata". Its the story very previous time, at the age of "Mahabharat", this city was known as Hedamba-nagar, named the name of a monster named Hidambasur who used to live here. According to the story written at history, the monster, Hidambasur was very strong, huge and dangerous and he had made a rule over the village. He used to eat man per day so at least one person among the people of that village should be the victim of that village. One member of the village should sacrifice his life to Hedamabasur. At the same time "Pandav" son of Kunti are travelling there to spent their left time of their "Banabas". Once Bhim, the second son of Kunti saw the reality, he decided to fight with Hedamabasur. Bhim was also very strong having the power of 1000 elephants inside him.
Next day, In spite of villager Bhim went to the cave of Hedamabasur as a food of him. There, Hedamabasur sister fell in love with Bhim and help Bhim to fight with her brother. Finally Bhim killed Hedamabasur and married with Hedambasur's sister Hedamba.
They(Bhim and Hedamba) gave a very strong giant baby name Ghatotkach. At the time of fight between Kauravas and Pandav in the battle field of Kurukshetra, he killed many Kauravas. But he latter on killed by the INDRASTHA thrown by Karna. Indrastha was given by the Indra while exchanging with Kawach and Kundal of Karna. Karna had saved that INDRASTHA to killed Arjun but, when Ghatotkach came in battle field they had no option beside to use that ASTRA.
So the name Hetauda has named as the name of Hedamba but as the time passed the people started calling Hetauda, which is now a famous industrial city of Nepal. which is the symbol of beauty and cleanest place of nepal.

Bhutandevi Mandir is the Famous Temple which is situated at Bhutan Devi Road 10, Central Part of Nepal, Hetauda. The main theme of this temple is it is built by perfect Vastu principal. prayer often come to pray here because the believed that the goddess helps them for their serious troubles and problem. The Bhutan Devi is goddess Durga who kild the great devil, which is popularly known as Mahishasura Mardini. The goddess Durga is the avater of the Parbati, lord Siva wife had killed Mahishasura Mardini Because he terrorized all and everywhere from human to saints. All god tried to defeat him but they became unsuccessful. It is said that he had captured all three world on the battle with gods. but finally the Durga Bhawani killed that demon in a battle which lasted for nine days and and nine night. So now a days also we celebrate this victory as a festival of NAURATHA or NAVARATHI, which ends with Bijayadasami. We pray the goddess of Mother Sakti, which has the greatest power and courage. In a tample we can see the Mahishasura, the devil, which is converting himself from Buffalo to Human and at the same time the Durga Bhawani killed him. There we also can see the small god and goddess like, Laxmi-Narayan, Radha-Krishna. It is believe that the temple holds the power of all these god and goddess. The other attraction of this temple is it is inside the very peaceful environment. All over the tries and monkeys lives around the temple, Jump from one tree to another is looks very away some. but we must be careful from these monkeys coz thy can take our things away, and can create problem to us.
Sahid Smarak
Sahid Smarak is one of the famous park of Hetauda as well as Nepal. It is the beautiful and attractive place which was constructed to honor the martyrs of Nepal, including the ones who lost their lives since the time of British colonial wars to the ones who overthrew the autocratic Panchayat System in 1982. It is a memorial park to them who gave up their life for the nation. It is not only memorial park but also the fun park. It lies arround 2 kilometer west from Buddha chauk, Hetauda, Nepal.
The park contains a memorial stone with the faces of 13 martyrs carved in it. It also has a small memorial garden for Madan Bhandari. It is a refreshment center as well, with swimming pool and ferries wheel. In addition, it is a zoo that accommodates animals like deer, leopard, guinea, crocodile, tortoise and rabbits. The wide area is surrounded by trees especially Saal and Salla. The path that goes through the park is stone-paved. The sides are paved with grass and offers as a sitting area. Different species of shrubs outline the park and also presence of palm trees can be seen. Some benches around the park allow the visitors to relax under the shade and enjoy the view. Two towers (one already built and another under construction) let the spectator enjoy the view and take photos.
So it is the historical place which has hidden secrets of Nepal History.

It has a temple at the top of the hill towards the west. It also offers picnic spots. It is a great place for enjoying with your friends and family at minimum cost. The charges are not high and the entry fee for elder is Rs 20 while students get 50% discount. Also the charge for a still camera is Rs 10 while movie camera is little more depending upon the purpose of the use (personal or movie making). One has to pay a little extra for picnic as an environment protection charge.
Beside the beautiful gardens to take photos in, it also has stone statues of different cartoon characters’ body (without head) where you could put your head and take photos paying a charge of Rs 10. Hence, it is a great place to enjoy with your dear ones when you visit Hetauda next time.
