The Facts of HOLI !


Holi is a Hindu spring festival that marks the arival of spring and celebrated the most in part of Indian and Nepal. It is also known as the "festival of colours. It is cebelerated for the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter. Winter season is realy very difficult for both child and old. But spering is very important because of rainny season which give more harvest and for many a festive day to meet others, play with colour and make a laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving to the god who delivered us for a good harvest. It is celebrated for a night and a day. It means, it starts on the evening of the Purnima which is also called Full Moon day which falls between the end of February and the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar. Holika Dahan is the first evening is known as Chhoti Holi and the following day as Holi, Rangwali Holi, Dhuleti, Dhulandi. Holi is cebebrate from many century so it is an ancient Hindu religious festival and now a days it become popular with non-Hindus also. Not only Nepal or India but also in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities outside Asia. It is good to know that In recent years the festival has spread to parts of Europe and North America as a spring celebration
