Kusmanda Sarowar(triveni Dham) Place For Holy Bath


Kusmanda Sarowar popularly known as Triveni Dham is the place dedicated to the goddess Kushmanda Bhagawati. Kusmanda is the word made by three word viz., 
ku=little, 
ushma=warmth, and
anda=egg.

About Kusmanda Bhagawati

Kusmanda Bhagawati is believed as the creator of the universe. She rides on lion. She usually shows more than 8k weapons. She is considered as a happy form of goddess Durga. People believed, water malon (kubindo) is the favorite for her.

About Triveni

Triveni is the junction(sangam) of three rivers. Here, in Kusmanda Sarowar(Triveni Dham) we can see three revers viz, Karra, Kukhreni and Rapti. where east is Rapti River. The development and promotion of Kusmanda Sarowar is by the Kusmandav Sarovwar tribeni shrine Development committee. This is the growing tourism for the Hindu in Hetauda

Holy Bath at Sarowar

Maximum people visits in Triveni at the festival of Kusmanda Nawami, Makar Sankranti and Teej.  These days are popular among 365 days because it is beleaved that this time Kusmanda Bhagawati and other god come there to bath with the holy water of Triveni. Water comes form 108 tap and each tap looks as if holy water is comming from cow mouth. Devotees take a holy bath by running under the raw of 108 holy taps. It is supposed to visit nearly 10,000 people every Makar Sankranti. They bath and they perform mass Upanayan of young boys, a Hindu rite of passage. People from different placesses come  there at the time of Teej to take ritualistic bath and obsurbe the Mela on Rishi Panchami which conclude the festival.

No Cast Boundary 

There is a temple and Devotee come  there for praying too. Triveni Dham in Hetauda is free to visit and pray fro every caste because it is worshiped by every caste. There is a facility for devotees to change their cloths who come to bath on holy water.
