Agreement between RSP and Balen: Rabi as Party Chairperson, Balen as Future Prime Ministerial Candidate

 


Kathmandu. Today, in the morning, An agreement has been set between Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to unite. According to the agreement, Balendra Shah will be the parliamentary party leader and Prime Minister after the upcoming House of Representatives election.

Both signed under seven-point agreement and made them public. According to the agreement chairperson Rabi Lamichhane will lead the party, while Shah will lead the parliamentary party. Point number 4 of the agreement states that Rabi Lamichhane will remain the central chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and after the forthcoming House of Representatives election, Balendra Shah will be the parliamentary party leader as well as the future Prime Ministerial candidate.

It has also been agreed that the election symbol in the House of Representatives election will be the bell.

Earlier, efforts had been made to reach an agreement among Lamichhane, Shah and Kulman Ghising.
